Working From Home – How to Stay Secure

Working From Home – How to Stay Secure

So your employer has let you work from home and now you're wondering “how do you stay secure?” There are more and more employees that are working from home nowadays and it's becoming the norm. I personally think is fantastic because it's lowering the number of cars that we have on the roads during peak times, which is a huge problem. You go along and there are five cars each with one person in them, instead of one car with five people in. There are more traffic and greenhouse gas emissions for no reason. Anyway, that's another story. What we're going to be doing today is discussing how to stay secure from both a business perspective, as well as from the freelancer remote workers perspective. Let's start with the freelancer.

How Do You Keep Your Business Secure Online?

How To Keep Your Business Secured Online?

I'm in the security field where we have to keep many, many businesses safe online, day in, day out, 24 hours a day. It's obviously a really, really important idea to make sure your business is safe online. There are lots of free tools and utilities out there that can help you keep things safe. As the old adage goes, If you can't afford an expensive tool, wait until you see how much the price of a cheap tool will cost you. It can impact your business greatly. We see it all the time, where people don't have tools in place, to keep their business safe.

How to Manage Email Overload at Work?

How to Combat Email Overload?

Emails can be both a blessing and a curse for businesses. They are an essential part to most jobs, and the amount of emails that we are receiving is growing day by day. What I find is there is most people have no solution put in place to manage the influx of emails and stay on top of it. The average company that's been around for a few years will be receiving anywhere between 250 to 500 emails a day. That's for a small company of about five to eight users.

How to Prevent Being Hacked this Holiday Season?

This is the season to get hacked!

Around Christmas time we see the amount of attacks on websites, work stations, servers, businesses, and cloud infrastructure increase exponentially. Make sure that your systems are patched and are up to date, and be on your toes for any scam calls, letters or emails because they are an all time high around now.
