11 Tips To Help Your Employees Operate At Their Full Potential

“Employees Are A Company’s Greatest Asset- They’re Your Competitive Advantage. You Want To Attract And Retain The Best; Provide Them With Encouragement, Stimulus, And Make Them Feel They Are An Integral Part Of The Company’s Mission.” -  Anne M. Mulcahy

Anne Mulcahy was onto something when she wrote that, employees are the backbone of every corporation. It doesn't matter how old the company is or how big its area of operation is, what matters are exceptional employees. As time passes employees can tend to become disengaged and careless and don't work at their full employee potential. This is because they don’t feel valued and motivated.

  • How to Improve Employee Engagement5 Fantastic Ways to Boost Employee Engagement

In the traditional sense, engagement is when you find someone, a partner, and you get along so well you decide I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with him or her, and then from that, you decided to become engaged. Employee engagement is no different. It's the same beast. You want to make sure that your employees are engaged with the projects that they're working on and with the company that they belong with. You want to make sure they're engaged, but how do you do that?

  • Are Employees an Asset or a Liability?are employees an asset

Wow! We've got a bore of a question that came in. Do we think employees, generally speaking, are an asset or a liability? That's a great question, and it all depends on your environment and the ecosystem that you've brought them up in. It depends.

  • How to Teach Your Staff About Data Security

I've just been talking to a business owner and we put them up to the "Let Us Hack You" challenge. Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like. We're the good guys and we jump in and try to hack your systems like the baddies could and see if we can get in. Now, okay, much to their dismay we got in, they were not impressed.

  • Today's question is: Remote working, is it worth the hype?

I think this is really, really interesting that I've been asked this question because I'm in a very good position where we are in IT company that operates with companies remotely. We employ staff that work with us remotely. So we are both the employer, and in a sense the employee of a remote workspace. In my opinion, it definitely helps productivity as long as you're in an environment that allows for it and you've got a mindset of success. You can't have someone who needs to be spoon fed working remotely. You need to make sure that you have the discipline and due diligence to continue to work day in and day out to get the job done, make sure that this is easily viewable, and you don't get ripped off.

  • What Is Stopping You From Employing Remotely?

Today, we've been asked about hiring remotely and it's an interesting one, because here at Dorks Delivered we do hire abroad and think it can be fantastic when done properly. We have people that work within Australia, as well as people that work overseas for us. The reason we decided to hire people remotely was due to a couple of factors. The main one is that we operate an IT company. As part of our business we need to monitor and manage other companies, and a lot of the time we needed to do this overnight. If we can monitor and get the work done during the off-peak time for these companies, we can make sure that they have their uptime and integrity during the day. Remote hiring is perfect for this, and perfect for some parts of our business.
