Your Internet Service Provider Is Spying on You
This is a big one. ISPs in Australia are watching you. You're being watched, all of your motions. It's not one of these conspiracy theories. It's a real thing now and it's happening and all the laws and legislation were passed ages ago. People don't talk about it. People don't know about it for some reason. People don't read papers. I don't read papers. People don't read online news aggregates for some reason.
ISPs Know Your Every Move
Nevertheless, ISPs are watching your every move. They know what websites you've gone to. They know what pages on those websites that you've gone to. They know all of the information between where you're going from and to. If you're going over a secure connection, there's a few caveats, that this information may not exactly apply to, but generally speaking, they know everything about your every move.
Avoid Dodgy Online Activities
Make sure that what you're doing online isn't dodgy. Don't do dodgy things. Don't look at things you shouldn't look at. Don't look at things that might come back to bite you. The police are able to pull the information from the ISPs, the internet service providers, at any moment if they think that you're a possible suspect and review every single thing that you've been doing and sometimes that can be embarrassing to people. Hopefully, it's not.
For me, it's not. I don't look at anything weird. I watch my videos. That's, I'll probably get pinged for that actually. I do that pretty weird. There's that, but you need to make sure that you are doing right by yourself and by your code of conduct. Make sure you are looking into yourself and what you're doing online. Because if you're going to porno sites, they know about it. They know about any fetish, anything that you've typed in. They know about it all.
Encrypt Your Connection
Be careful with what you look up. Jump online with a VPN and it will encrypt your connection. Send it from Australia overseas or somewhere else and then the information will be able to be seen by Shannon ISPs. That does not mean that any other countries in the Commonwealth or otherwise won't be able to share the information with Australia. Do your own research. I'm not in the market of telling you how to do things dodgely. That's it. The dodgy brothers. Dodgedly on the Internet. Be yourself. Do things right by yourself and do things right by your internet connection so you don't get put on the suspect list.
Next Week: We'll Talk About Porn
This carries on to what we're going to be talking about next week's episode: Does porn rot your brain? And what are the similarities between porn and Disney? You'd be surprised.
