Today, we’re going to talk about how to be wicked awesome in your mind about how you do business. Maybe you've got a healthy body and a healthy everything else, but sometimes your mindset isn't. The six inches between your ears is the most important measurement.

  • Is Attending Conferences Worthwhile?

Unless they’ve just started out in business, most people have been to a few conferences in their life. If you're the type of person who goes to lots of them or all of them and you think, ‘I'm going to get something from each of these,’ here’s the truth.

  • I Would Like to See What You Guys Think

steve jobs, elon musk, and bill gates

Do you think Elon Musk is a maker or a taker? Do you think Bill Gates is a maker or a taker? And do you think Steve Jobs was a maker or a taker?

  • There are two types of people in this world: makers and takers.

Today, we're going to talk about social pressures, conformity, and the “last biscuit” controversy. So, what that is, at dinners and all around the place, is this last piece of cheese or this last piece of pizza, and everyone's eating it the same way, and all of a sudden it goes whoop, and they don't have the last piece of whatever it is.

  • How Can We Embrace Vegetarianism?

A few short years ago, I weighed 38 kilos more than I weigh now. I started researching a lot to try and work out how to lose that weight. First off, I started exercising more, drinking more water and analysing the quality of my sleep. I went into a lot of detail looking at my health, what I'm putting into my body and what I'm expecting to get out of my body. The things that I found were very interesting.

  • How to Achieve Your Goals in 2019

goal setting writing down goals on a whiteboard

It's now the start of a new year, so that means a new you and new business. So what you what to do is make sure that you really grab it by the horns and you get really excited about it because you want to achieve these things. You set your new year's resolution, and this year you're going to achieve it. I'm going to help you do that.

  • How to Get the Most Out of Fitness Trackers

When I became single, I decided it was time to get fit. Being the geek that I am, I had to get some sort of gadget to help. So, I bought one of those fitness bands, you know, the ones that count your steps. At the end of the first day, I'd run off my feet at work, but I still only managed to get to 3000 steps. Which is much better than the thousand that I would normally get if I was just sitting at the computer, but either way, it didn't seem like a whole lot to me.

How to Have Great Mental Health and Succeed in Business

Today we're going to talk about mental health. In business, a lot of the time you jump into business to be the go-getter thing, person that really made a difference, and you did this thing that was cool with this product, and you're great at the technical stuff, but you're shit at marketing. Or you're great at marketing, but you don't really have a product. A lot of the time there isn't a good balance between what it is that you do with your voodoo, you know?

  • Improving Productivity Through Workplace Design

If there's anything you've ever learned from Ray Kroc, it's that there's always room for improvement in efficiency. The way that your office works and the way that you design your office around efficiency. Workspaces on improvements are always required to increase productivity. The reason these are really important is because you want to be the person that brings out the new McDonald's and I know that sounds corny, but ultimately when it comes down to it, if you're running an inefficient design, you're not going to be doing things anywhere near as quickly as you can. If you have to walk 10 steps to the printer instead of two steps to the printer or go up a flight of stairs to pick up a piece of paper and there are multiple problems with what I just said there. Why are you using paper? But unless you're trying to get your steps up and you're trying to be more efficient by exercising at work, you shouldn't be traveling that far and it comes to all different aspects of the way that you set up your office.

  • How to Prepare Your Resume

There are a lot of people with whom we had that talk about lots of different things. Today, Denim talks about why he decided to start his first business. He's worked for many different industries and what he's found over the years is people have shit resumes, and we want people to have great resumes because great resumes lead to great jobs.

  • reach for your goalsEspecially When You're Running a Business

If there's something that business owners continuously tell me along with friends and family is that I'm one of the bubbliest characters that they know. I always seem to be happy and excited and have a go-getter attitude. That's what we are going to be talking about today. How do you stay motivated in business? You can be in business for a few days, a few weeks, a few months, a few years, or even a few decades and eventually you feel like there is a bit of fizzle. This doesn't just happen in business, it can happen in relationships, it can happen with friendships it can happen with anything. But what we need to talk about is how do you stay motivated.

  • anxious womanFeeling Sadness Is Okay

Previously, we have blogged about sitting mentally well with yourself in business. You need to make sure that you're pushing yourself in the right direction and doing what you can for your mind and mental state. So many business owners put themselves down. This happens to everyone in every aspect of life, but business owners are especially susceptible. As a business owner, you are organised. You have a list, and you try and get everything done on the list, and then try and help everyone out. A lot of the time, you try to help everyone, but your list is bigger than Ben-Hur. You're trying to build Rome in an hour. Rome wasn't built in an hour. It wasn't built in a day.

  • Your Body Is Your Instrumenthealthy mind

Anyone that knows me or has known me for a while knows that health is incredibly important to me. The most important thing that we have is our health and then family, friends, and your other interests, but our health is the most important thing. You need to keep yourself in tip-top condition and you can do anything. People look at me and they say, "how do you have enough time to do all the things that you do? You're running multiple companies, you've got podcasts, YouTube, blogs, Facebook posts, Twitter posts, LinkedIn, you're writing a book, all these things that are happening." That is fair, it does sound like a lot of things, but it's because the finely tuned machine that is my body is finely tuned.

  • The Secret to Happiness and a More Productive Lifemaking decisions

So, I had a bit of time for myself over the weekend, and I managed to get myself a copy of ‘The Barefoot Investor’. I would suggest any of you guys out there in YouTube land to do the same thing. It is a bloody brilliant read, mate. Pretty quick. I'll be honest. I didn't read it. I used the audio book. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it. Nice bloke.

    Self-Care Tips to Overcome Burnout

Burnout is a very serious matter for a lot of business owners. People get into business to get out of a nine to five, but a lot of the time, what happens is they find that instead of working a nine to five, they're working a 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM, a five to nine. They don't get to see their family as much. They don't get to spend as much time at the things they were doing before, but as long as you're passionate about what you're doing, you continue to tell yourself that thisisn't work, this is fun. That's perfectly fine, but everyone knows that you can't have the good days without the bad days.

  • The Pros and Cons of Working Flexibly

I've been asked today to talk about the pros and cons of a flexible work environment. While working from home might mean fewer distractions, people can get lonely and it can lead to spending long periods of time online. Working from home requires a certain level of discipline. I would say you need to have a balance between working from home life and your social life. I know myself when I was in a relationship with someone that did work standard hours and I was in a flexible work environment, I was sometimes seeing people and sometimes I wasn't.

  • The Spirit of Adventure vs. Staying Safe and Smart

I'm out here in the Wild West, and it looks just like a Western film set in so many places. This whole piece of history, the expansion of the Western frontier helped create America's image as a land of opportunity.

  • effect of porn on brainDoes Porn Rot Your Brain?

Does porn rot your brain? It's an interesting question. We have been asked it, so we're going to answer it. In my opinion, porn does rot your brain to an extent. If you look into anything, and look at anything too much, it's not good, it's not healthy and it gives unrealistic expectations.

  • What Makes a Good Investment?

Wall Street is the home of the New York Stock Exchange and many other enormous financial giants. For me, one of the strangest things about the stock market is how little we really understand it. What do you know about the stock exchange?
