How Has Staffing Changed in the Digital Age?
I'm in Memphis, Tennessee, where 50 years ago Martin Luther King, Junior was shot. But rather than killing his movement, the incident made him a symbol of equality.
Equality is one of the things I love about the Internet and the digital age. Don't get me wrong: there are plenty of messed up stuff online: lots of hate, lots of anger. But it all has the potential to break down those walls.
When it comes to business, the Internet lets anyone work with anyone. It doesn't matter where you're from, what you look like, who you know. With many jobs, all you need is a portfolio and enough language to communicate it.

You could be a designer from Ukraine, a programmer from Nigeria, a writer from India, or anything else. These are all new skills we need to learn to make this new system work, but I love the simplicity of the global marketplace.
The Final Word
I remember those old job interviews. We had to talk about office hours, commuting, building facilities and all that crap. No more! Now you have one question: can you do the job? That feels like a good step towards equality to me.
