How to Create Content for Your Website Fast
Don’t Have Time for Writing Content for Your Website?
Last week, we shared with you The Best Free Source of Useful Content for Your Website. The more content, the better. If you’re adding more content to your website, you’re going to be getting more website traffic. Blogging at least once a month, writing about 750 words per article, would be the minimum. And then we asked: why don’t we put more content up? We know that it’s going to make our business better, but we still don’t do it. And the main reason is we are time-poor.

How Can You Protect Your Company From Cyber Attacks?
A report has shown that cybercriminals lean towards quieter attacks, targeting small businesses, but cyber attacks increased by 59% for 2018. And by the end of 2018, the number of attacks peaked at 80 per day, with an average of 62 for the whole year. These cyber-attacks damage businesses in many ways and many are unable to recover from the financial and reputational impact of a breach. To protect your company from the damaging effects of a cyberattack, it is essential to take small business security seriously.
One of the most amazing things about New York is the sheer amount of choice. If you’re feeling hungry, there’s a lot of options, and this is great for consumers. But what you need to realise is that each stand is only offering a few items. The hot dog stand doesn’t sell pizzas and cappuccinos; it just sells hot dogs and a few extras.
I’ve just been talking to a business owner and we put them up to the “Let Us Hack You” challenge. Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like. We’re the good guys and we jump in and try to hack your systems like the baddies could and see if we can get in. Okay, much to their dismay we got in, and they were not impressed.
Last week, we covered off on apples and oranges and how they can’t be the same price.
If you’ve made it clear that you’ve got a B-grade product and you’re charging an A-grade price, that’s not very fair. If you have a product that sells for $10 and you’re charging $6, but there’s no service and support, that’s not very fair. That’s when it becomes quite hard for people who are trying to compare apples and oranges.
How is that going to work? Obviously, you can’t compare apples with oranges, but this comes down to another big problem, and that’s having your price as your identifier.
If you can’t measure it, is it worth doing at all? It’s a great question. The way I sort of look at it is there are a lot of different people and everyone’s tolerance towards risk is different. You have these different people that come up to you and try to express the way they’re going to be doing their businesses better. They don’t have to go to university and get an education. They might not have any experience or anyone to really coach them through, but they are going to risk it all. They’re going to do it because there are 70 other people out there that did it, that didn’t go through university. So because they didn’t do it, I don’t have to do it, and that’s a risk that they’re taking.
You can’t compare apples with oranges and that’s what it comes down to. We’ve been told this time and time again, don’t compare apples with oranges. But the problem is people know what an apple looks like and people know what an orange looks like, but people don’t know when they’ve bought a lemon. Pretty clever what I did there, I thought. Anyway, so what are we going to be talking about is removing and unveiling what’s behind the curtains. This comes down to any service that isn’t really tangible and you are led to believe that the person that you’ve got doing the service is doing a good job. Now, this can be bookkeepers, accountants, solicitors, lawyers, anything like that. IT people, marketers, SEO people, SCM people, ad-words people, all these people. Unless you’re in the industry and you can double-check and cross-check what they’re doing, you don’t really know if the voodoo that they do is any good.
As time goes on, different trends appear to emerge. One of the things that we’ve been seeing is people cancelling a lot. I’ve got someone here that I’m going to be talking to from Perfectly Beautiful. Her name’s Sarah and I’m going to be talking about if she has any customers and if she’s frustrated with them cancelling on her. So Sarah, have you ever had anyone cancel on you?
Small and medium-sized businesses in Australia can have all the benefits of their own IT department without the need to invest in staffing or additional infrastructure. Get in touch with us now to learn more about how we can help you achieve your organisational goals. For years, small businesses have worked with IT companies that utilise the traditional break-fix approach. If a problem occurs, a traditional IT support company would send someone out to look at it, troubleshoot it, and hopefully fix it. They would then send a bill for the time they spent solving that problem.
Acquiring the right resources is essential for every business. That is why here at Dorks Delivered, we give managed IT support Brisbane businesses need in order to accomplish their goals and maximize their profitability. It’s an option for small and medium businesses that need additional manpower for their IT infrastructure.
A managed IT support provider is responsible for monitoring, repairing and updating their client’s IT system. Basically, clients assign the task of maintaining their IT infrastructure and solving all related problems that may arise to an external IT support provider.
How to Improve Productivity Through Workplace Design
Improving Productivity Through Workplace Design
If there’s anything you’ve ever learned from Ray Kroc, it’s that there’s always room for improvement in efficiency. The way that your office works and the way that you design your office around efficiency. Workspaces on improvements are always required to increase productivity. The reason these are really important is because you want to be the person that brings out the new McDonald’s and I know that sounds corny, but ultimately when it comes down to it, if you’re running an inefficient design, you’re not going to be doing things anywhere near as quickly as you can. If you have to walk 10 steps to the printer instead of two steps to the printer or go up a flight of stairs to pick up a piece of paper and there are multiple problems with what I just said there. Why are you using paper? But unless you’re trying to get your steps up and you’re trying to be more efficient by exercising at work, you shouldn’t be traveling that far and it comes to all different aspects of the way that you set up your office.
Like in any business, Australian entrepreneurs face the problem of having limited time with so much work to do. Luckily, there are ways to maximise the time you have while staying competitive. In this article, you will learn which common tasks can be finished quicker with automation, which ones to focus on and how business automation works in helping your company.
If you don’t like project management software like Trello and Asana, you probably just never used it properly. There are lots of different project management tools out there, and you’ve got to remember that the mileage varies. In this episode, Josh shares why we love Trello so much.
What Is Trello and How Do You Use It
We’re huge Trello fans. After mucking around with a lot of different project management tools, we found that Trello is the best, especially at their price point.
I like having a diversity between the different software packages that we use, and Trello ticks that box as well. I don’t necessarily always like buying into the same brand. Although it’s nice being in the same ecosystem, it doesn’t always pay off when they up all their prices or infrastructure goes down.
Office 365, yep. That would never go down for 9 hours during a business day in Australia. But then it does. So it’s fantastic and you’ve got to make sure that you look at project management software from a perspective of how it manages and works with your business.
How to Use Trello Effectively
One of the great things that I like about Trello is how easy it is to manage the lists and cards. You can create lists of cards, and each of those cards can then have tasks. Each of those lists can have multiple cards that you can then move between the lists.
Trello Board Example: Project Management
What is Trello best used for?
Let’s look at it like this. You’re a kid and you want 15 different things for Christmas. They all have equal value, and you want those things no matter what. Instead of having to ask for all of them, you could make a list of what the priority items are. You can have the lower priority items, maybe it’s the pencil case (I kind of wanted that because my other pencil case looked a bit dodgy, and you don’t want to be picked on at school, so you want this other cool pencil case). I know, I know, do kids even use pencils nowadays?
Anyway, this project management software will allow you to have things of a lower priority on a separate list. When you actually get them for Christmas you can move them into another list, say, the ‘I got it from Santa’ list.
How does Trello help you improve your team dynamics?
I use project management software to manage different projects between my teams, and that works out really well. I’ve even got one that I manage with my girlfriend. You can use it for anything and everything.
The big thing is when you have a brainstorming session with the rest of your team. Even if it’s just yourself wearing different DeBono hats, thinking hats, you are able to see what tasks need to be done and to visualise what’s the most important task to be done. Set reminders and make sure that you’re kicking goals.
Trello Makes Life Easier
If you know how to use Trello right, it will make your life a little bit easier. It’s not going to overtake everything, but it is definitely going to make things easier when you go, ‘Oh, I need to update that thing on the website. Who would do that? How do I know who gets that done?’ And you go, ‘I’ll put that to the web guy.’
How to Use Trello to Manage a Team
If your computers are a bit slow, you can make another project board for calling your IT department. When your IT guys come in and they do an audit and say, ‘Okay, you need to upgrade this, this, this, this and this.’ Again, you can place them on your Trello board for everything IT and see all of these different tasks that need to be done and you can set a priority on them, and you can see what stage they’re at.
Using a Trello board is not just good for you. It helps the rest of your team to be accountable.
Can You Use Trello for Free?
I can’t speak more highly of Trello. I’ve been using it for years, and I’m still on the free plan that is still servicing us as we require it. I also use another package called ConnectWise, which does a little bit more nitty-gritty technical stuff, but generally speaking, Trello is going to get you 95% of the way there.
Did you know that you can set up automations and use integrations for better project management with Trello?
I use Trello for our marketing teams and our sales teams, as well as for any of the other collaboration that we do with any external companies. It’s there and it does its job, and it does it well for free.
The Final Word
I would give Trello 4.5 stars out of 5. The only thing that I would change is ultimately just allowing for a few more integrations in the free plan, but that’s just because I’m being stingy, so they have to make their money somewhere.
Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed this and if you have, please make sure to jump over to iTunes, send us some love and give us some feedback.
What project management software are you using? Tell us by sending an email to [email protected] I’d love to go and try that out and see how that works for us. Stay good!

Wall Street is the home of the New York Stock Exchange and many other enormous financial giants. For me, one of the strangest things about the stock market is how little we really understand it. What do you know about the stock exchange?
