Toronto is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. English is the main language, but there are over 160 other languages that are spoken by various communities. There are also 200 different ethnic origins among many inhabitants. For me, there’s something really special about that kind of diversity because people from different backgrounds bring different ideas. It’s no coincidence that there was a huge boom in technology in the 20th century. Ultimately, the spread of the telephone and then the Internet allowed us to share the information instantaneously across the globe.

Our tech is constructed of thousands of parts from all over the world. Innovation and improvements can come from any corner of the planet. As a business owner, I love that I have so much choice.

Now that English has become a tool for international communication, I’m almost unlimited in who I can work with. That’s great for me and great for my clients because diversity is often used as a buzzword, but let’s not forget its benefits.

We all experience the world slightly differently, so having many viewpoints is often the best way to find a solution. You’ll be able to talk to multiple people, find out their walks of life, their belief systems, and really grow as a person. Don’t underestimate that because you’ll find that over time, being able to have those skills is invaluable and priceless. Absolutely amazing!
