How to Manage Too Many Emails at Work

How to Manage Too Many Emails at Work

Do you want to know how to reduce emails in the workplace? Emails can be both a blessing and a curse for businesses. They are an essential part to most jobs, and the amount of emails that we are receiving is growing day by day. Most people have no solution put in place to manage the influx of emails and stay on top of it. The average company that’s been around for a few years will be receiving anywhere between 250 to 500 emails a day. That’s for a small company of about five to eight users.

Why Working From Home Is Dangerous?

COVID for computers, it’s coming. It’s triple C. COVID for computers is coming, think about that. Where do our electronics come from? This is going to be a bit of a speculative episode more than anything else, but most of our electronics are made in China. We’ve already seen cases where there have been back doors and hack abilities where people are using automated doorbells, where you click on it and they can see your face. Hackers have been able to go in and spy on these children and the parents weren’t even aware there was some weirdo looking at them. Multiple devices that people take for granted on their home networks such as their smart TVs, smart fridges, smart door locks, smart anything on your network, even your smartphone is a way for you to get broken into.

Don’t Work From Home Without These Tips

I’m being serious, now, guys. I don’t normally have this tone when I’m doing a podcast, but we’re seeing so many IT companies that are just doing a poor job at setting up their remote workforces. There’s been a 41.5% increase in the amount of businesses that are now open to threats. That’s because they’ve been intentionally opened. Your business is like a box. If you have no light going into that box, nothing inside the box can spoil potentially. As soon as light starts going in, though, you can have bacteria and all sorts of things happen, and your business is exactly the same. Your business as a box, when you open up a door, you’re going to let all sorts of nasties come in. I’ll put a link in the description so you can see how much more, what they call RDP traffic, is out and around on the internet, which is a protocol that can be broken into.

5 Ways to Improve Small Business Security

How Can You Protect Your Company From Cyber Attacks?

A report has shown that cybercriminals lean towards quieter attacks, targeting small businesses, but cyber attacks increased by 59% for 2018. And by the end of 2018, the number of attacks peaked at 80 per day, with an average of 62 for the whole year. These cyber-attacks damage businesses in many ways and many are unable to recover from the financial and reputational impact of a breach. To protect your company from the damaging effects of a cyberattack, it is essential to take small business security seriously.

How Protected Is Your Business From Cyber Crimes?

As business owners in Australia are becoming more aware of surging cyber threats that could harm their organizations, customizing an information security policy now has a much larger role in their operations. While Aussies that run their own business benefit from taking such precautionary actions, some still lack the proper guidance in terms of establishing an effective policy that would ensure 100% protection from cyberattacks.

Is Your Smartphone Spying on You?

The Truth About Your Smartphone

Is your smartphone listening to you? The short answer is, yes, it is. How creepy is that? If you’ve got Facebook Messenger or any of the big apps on there, you’re going to find that your phone is actually listening to you. You might be thinking, ‘Why? How did they know that I was looking to buy new tyres?’ The reason is they saw you make that call to Goodyear, Beaurepaires or Bob Jane, whoever it was, and then whoever had the highest bid on any of the different networks that are advertising to you, be it Facebook or Google, has then said, ‘Oh, they’ve got the highest bid. Let’s shoot them across even if they’re a competitor.’

2019 Must-Read Identity and Access Management (IAM) Trends

2019 Must-Read Identity and Access Management (IAM) Trends

Is Your Company Safe from Cyberattacks?

Cybercrimes are everywhere, and even if you are in Australia, you are not safe from them. They can come in a variety of forms: phishing, hacking, identity theft, and more. Moreover, attackers tend to be more interested in targeting small businesses that they assume have no strong identity and access management (IAM) strategy in place. This is why it is essential for businesses, no matter how big or small, to adopt a security and IT management process.

What Are the 10 Common IT Audit Failures?

Does Your Current IT Provider Deliver as Expected?

Australian companies have become more exposed to online threats, especially phishing and malware. You might think that having a routine IT audit already protects your business from cyberattacks, but the way IT audit is done has a great effect on the results. Senior members and company executives’ perception of IT security policies also affect the efficiency of audits. You simply can’t expect low-level employees to follow protocols if leaders don’t comply with rules.

Information Security and the Surging Cyber Warfare

How Secure Is Your Business Against Cyber Attacks?

Information security in Aussie businesses is taking a larger role in their day-to-day operations. As more and more of these businesses emerge and lean toward cloud systems, business owners are slowly realising that cyber attacks should be taken seriously. When the number of data breaches went up in the last few years, affecting even major multinational companies, Australian SMBs have learnt to instil a data security mindset in their organisations. The WooCommerce Abandoned Cart Lite for WordPress Sites

Are You Using WordPress Plugin WooCommerce Abandoned Cart Lite?

Australia is not an exemption to the 20,000 times and still growing worldwide downloads of the WordPress plugin called WooCommerce Abandoned Cart Lite. While WordPress quickly began to take the lead, leaving its competitors Drupal and Joomla, its plugin comes with an advantage and a disadvantage. As a plus, default functions go beyond its capabilities. However, it can pose risks to website security if not properly checked. It’s useful but weak on cross-site scripting attempts.
